Book before you go

Monday to Saturday visits must be booked in advance (free, via MiPermit) or you will be turned away; Sunday visits need no booking. Up to 12 visits per household per calendar year.

Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Cars and small vans can use the site; vans and pick-ups must be under 3.5 tonnes. Vehicles over 2 metres high or with commercial branding may be refused.
  • Trailers: Only domestic-type trailers under 2 metres long.

Before you visit

  • For Derby and Derbyshire residents using a private vehicle; proof of address may be required. No business or trade waste.
  • DIY waste per visit: up to 100kg of rubble, soil, concrete and similar (e.g. four 25kg sacks), plus one of: 1-2 bathroom suite items, 1-2 window frames or doors, small amounts of plasterboard (not whole sheets), small amounts of wood, or carpet from one room.
  • Bonded asbestos: up to 3 sheets/panels per calendar year, double-wrapped; tell staff on arrival.
  • Only one fridge, freezer or fridge freezer per visit.
  • No pedestrian access; cyclists can visit without booking but must queue and push their bikes on site.
  • Has the Reuse Raynesway shop.
