How does BinMinder work?
Enter your postcode on the homepage, pick your address, and choose how you want to be reminded. BinMinder then sends you a heads-up the evening before each scheduled collection so the bin is out in time.
Is BinMinder free?
Yes — web push notifications in your browser are free forever. We charge £1.99/month (or £19.99/year) for Premium, which adds SMS, WhatsApp, multiple addresses, and removes ads. You can see the full comparison on the Pricing page.
Which councils are supported?
Hundreds across the UK — see the live list on Supported Councils. If your council isn’t on it, let us know via hello@binminder.co.uk and we’ll add it to the queue.
Where do the schedules come from?
Directly from each council’s published collection data. We don’t guess and we don’t make up dates — if a council hasn’t published a schedule for your address, BinMinder won’t pretend it has one.
What about bank holidays?
Most councils shift collections by a day or two around UK bank holidays. BinMinder applies the bank-holiday adjustment your council has published wherever possible. If your council doesn’t publish revised dates, we’ll fall back to the normal schedule and note that the date might shift.
What time do reminders arrive?
You pick the time during signup — most people choose the evening before collection so the bin can go out before bed. You can change the time later from your dashboard.
How do I cancel or unsubscribe?
Every email and SMS reminder includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also manage your reminders from the dashboard URL you got when you signed up. Lost it? Email hello@binminder.co.uk from the address you signed up with.
Will you share or sell my data?
No. We use your data only to send the reminders you signed up for. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail of what we collect and how we use it.
My bin didn’t get collected even though you reminded me
That’s usually a council-side issue (missed round, contamination, or a schedule change the council hasn’t published yet). Please report a missed collection to your council directly. If the schedule we sent looks wrong, email hello@binminder.co.uk with your postcode and we’ll look into it.
Can I support multiple addresses?
Yes — that’s a Premium feature. Up to four addresses on one account. See Pricing.
