Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Vans (including hired vans), pick-ups and minibuses are not allowed; hired vans must use the paid waste transfer station next door.
  • Trailers: Trailers with more than one axle or a load length over 1.5 metres are not allowed.

Before you visit

  • Royal Greenwich residents: bring physical photo ID (UK driving licence or passport) and proof of address (council tax bill from this financial year or a utility bill from the last 3 months).
  • Limits per visit (one visit a month each): asbestos 3, hardcore and rubble 5, plasterboard 5, tyres 3. Asbestos must be triple-wrapped.
  • DIY waste: up to 4 visits in 4 weeks, each with two 50-litre rubble bags or one bulky item.
  • Business and hazardous waste are not accepted.
  • Pedestrians can hand items to gate staff at the entrance after showing proof of residence.
