Vans, trailers and permits
- Vans, pick-ups without rear seats and other restricted vehicles need a permit (12 visits a year); nothing over 3.5 tonnes.
- Single-axle unenclosed trailers under 2m long at Yate, Mangotsfield and Thornbury only; vans and campervans cannot tow trailers.
Before you visit any South Gloucestershire tip
- South Gloucestershire residents only; bring proof of address.
- Fridges and freezers are not currently accepted (national shortage in disposal capacity).
- DIY waste is free but limited to 100 litres (about 6 bags) or 1 bathroom suite per visit, no more than 4 visits in 4 weeks; extra cannot be paid for.
- Food waste is not accepted at any site.
