Vans, trailers and permits
- Vans, pick-ups (N1 vehicles), campervans and minibuses need a free permit (Somerset residents only).
- Single-axle trailers up to 3m floor length, towed by a car, need a permit; permit vehicles cannot tow a trailer.
Before you visit any Somerset tip
- You must pre-book a visit to bring DIY or construction waste.
- Free DIY allowance: up to eight 50-litre sacks a month over up to four visits.
- Charges are paid by credit or debit card on arrival.
