Hardcore and rubble above the free DIY allowance, per standard bag £3.80

Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Vans, pickups, campervans and similar commercial-like vehicles need a commercial-like vehicle registration and are limited to 12 visits in 12 months.
  • Trailers: Cars towing open trailers under 1.5 metres use the household registration; trailers over 1.5 metres count as commercial-like (12 visits a year).

Before you visit any North Yorkshire tip

  • You must register your vehicle online (free) before visiting; unregistered vehicles are turned away.
  • Free DIY waste allowance: once a week, one item up to 2000 x 750 x 700mm or under 100 litres (two 50-litre bags); up to four free visits in four weeks.
  • Non-North Yorkshire residents cannot register and are charged at the site.
