Vans, trailers and permits
- Vans, pick-ups, crew cabs, campervans and minibuses need a free permit (one visit within 30 days; max 12 a year, Luton residents only).
- Cars towing trailers bigger than 0.9m x 1.2m need a permit; trailers larger than 1.8m x 1.2m or double-axle vehicles are not allowed.
Before you visit any Luton tip
- Luton residents only: bring proof of residency (e.g. Council Tax or utility bill) and ID (e.g. passport or driving licence).
- No access on foot or by bicycle.
- Small-scale DIY waste only: up to 6 items (e.g. 100-litre bags of rubble) every 30 days.
- Yearly limits: two fridges/freezers, two car tyres, four fluorescent tubes, ten litres of cooking or engine oil.
- Asbestos is not accepted.
