Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Vans and 4x4s classed as light goods vehicles need a free permit. Flat-bed pick-ups, commercial vehicles and any vehicle over 2 metres high are not allowed.
  • Trailers: Small trailers (up to 1.8m long, 1.2m wide, 0.5m high) need no permit; large trailers up to 3.6m x 1.8m x 0.5m need one. No greedy boards or caged sides.

Before you visit any Lincolnshire tip

  • For Lincolnshire residents' household waste only; no pedestrian access.
  • Vehicle tyres are not accepted (single bicycle tyres only).
  • Cement-bonded white asbestos (up to 40kg a year) is handled by booking through the council's designated contractors, using bags the council supplies.
  • Hardcore, rubble, soil and plasterboard: one small dustbin full per vehicle per day in total. Cooking oil, chemicals and engine oil: up to five litres each per visit.
