Vans, trailers and permits
- York residents bringing household waste in vans, pickups, minibuses or campervans need a free permit booklet (one per household per year); some vehicles are restricted to certain sites.
- All trailers need a permit; maximum trailer bed 3 metres by 1.8 metres.
Before you visit any York tip
- Free DIY waste limit: two 50-litre bags or one item up to 200 x 75 x 70cm per visit, no more than 4 visits per household in any 4 weeks.
- Height barrier of 1.9 metres at both sites.
