Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Vans, pick-ups, minibuses (8 to 11 seats) and flatbed trucks need a vehicle waste permit; no vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, with more than 4 wheels, or with tippers or tail-lifts.
  • Trailers: Trailers bigger than 0.9m x 1.2m need a permit; trailers larger than 2.4m x 1.8m are not allowed.

  • Free for Buckinghamshire residents with proof of address; non-residents must pay.
  • Free DIY allowance needs a DIY waste permit: up to 2 bags (50 litres each) or 1 large item, one visit per 7 days.
  • Visiting on foot needs a walk-in permit.
