Vans, trailers and permits

  • Vans: Vans (including car-derived and crew), minibuses and trailers must book and are limited to 24 visits a year per household (1 April to 31 March).
  • Trailers: Trailers must be 10ft (3m) or less and towed by a car, car-derived van, domestic pick-up or mobility vehicle; must be booked.

Before you visit any Aberdeenshire tip

  • For households only; businesses must use trade waste services.
  • Asbestos and tyres are not accepted at recycling centres (householders can take them to a waste transfer station).
  • Banned vehicles include tippers, flat-bed pick-ups, vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and trailers over 10ft (3m).
