Edinburgh garden waste collection dates
Garden waste in Edinburgh is a paid service.
Is garden waste free in Edinburgh?
No, it is chargeable. The permit is only on sale during the council's registration window each summer; outside that window the service cannot be bought at any price.
No figure here, because the council's published price can only be bought inside its registration window — see edinburgh.gov.uk, checked 13 August 2026.
Where do I sign up or renew in Edinburgh?
On Edinburgh's own garden waste page, at edinburgh.gov.uk.
